Execute Disable Bit, Huh?!?

When looking at some LGA 775 Celeron D CPU's, the NewEgg title featured this statement With No Execute Disable Bit as part of the product title.

So what is a Execute Disable Bit ? Is it Good? Bad? Indifferent?
