excuses for not going to work

As I once read..."Go to work and work long and hard...as millions of people on welfare are counting on you! 😉 "

Go to work! 😛

<--- Off day #5 of 12 days...with pay!

(sorry..couldn't resist after all of the hours I've worked in the last two years! 😱)

What are some excuses you can use to tell your boss or manager that you can't come in to work?

"I can't stop vomiting". It worked for me. Of course I couldn't go have fun or anything because I couldn't stop vomiting.

A girl at my work recently took two days off because her boyfriend's sister's daughter (who lives in another country) was in a coma and she was so emotionally distressed. She was promptly fired.

I have called in "lack of interest" at a place I worked. They laughed until I didn't show up.

I've used that one before, on a request for leave form. The boss laughed, and then rubber stamped it. 😀

I don't usually have to seek approval. As long as my projects are in order and I mark it on the office calendar, no one questions me.
