"Pope Benedict XVI is developing a reputation as a clotheshorse with his taste for Prada shoes and designer sunglasses... The Tablet, a Roman Catholic newspaper in England, points to the new pope's expensive sunglasses, which Vatican officials say were a present. He has also been spotted in baseball caps and red shoes from Prada."

What? Like if your gay ass was elected Pope you wouldn't go out and buy a whole new wardrobe! lol

Why isn't the new pope allowed to have a little bit of style? Must he take on the drooling persona of the last pope?

maybe just a little humility?
i dont know...its weird for a fellow to be wasting money on prada garbage when he is running a church that has its own problems when supposedly advocating the tenants of catholocism, such as charity.

Great, the start of another religion bashing thread.

The pope is not required to take a vow of poverty nor to swear off sunglasses. Plus, I would imagine most of that Prada gear was provided free of charge as the Pope is without a doubt a celebrity and having him wear your product is worth giving it to him for free.

The Roman Catholic religion provides so much charity to the entire world that your response is ridiculous.

P.S. catholocism is spelled Catholicism, troll.
