I wish he wasn't such a tool. I wish he hadn't drank himself out of Whiskeytown.

I've met him a couple times. He was too drunk for his own good both times. I saw a few Whiskeytown shows that were phenominal. I've seen a few Ryan Adams shows that I wanted a refund after.

I will give him credit. Great songwriter. He might miss on quite a few but he nails quite a few as well. Plus, the sheer amount of material he has. I have 2 different studio projects he's done with friends that have never been released. Rumour is he has 2 or 3 more albums done that he wants to release as well.

Which is why I don't bother with the live shows or reading up on his latest bout of idiocy. I just read the reviews and buy the stuff that doesn't suck.

I think I have the stuff you're talking about as well. There was a shitload of supposedly uncopyrighted material posted on an alt-coutry ftp site a while back.

Bought the album yesterday and gave Disc I a good listen. Overall it gets a :thumbsup: from me. Very mellow and well-written for the most part, but I do agree with the reviewers stating there are some throwaway songs here and there.
