No. What matters is how its being used. If someone is coming at you with a baseball bat, its a deadly weapon. If they are using it to hit a ball, its a sporting good.

I can only tell you about the laws here in MI though.

Agreed. Smokers should barred from smoking in any public place or where their smoke could come into contact with other people. Or animals.

Should be another 100% tax placed on cigars, cigarettes, and tobacco products.

Exactly, I had a college teacher get on me one for my pocket knife. He said his syllabus said no weapons. I informed him it is not a weapon, but a tool I use daily during my work at the college (and in fact was using as a tool in his class to cut some cardboard). I then bite my tongue to keep from saying "but if I stabbed someone, then it's a weapon."

Actually I probably would at some point, as much as she worries I will be shot one day; she applauds my efforts to do what other's should.

It's being punk bitches that allowed our jets to be ran into the trade center.

If the men and women on board decided to say no only a few would have been harmed/killed.

And yes, I have not always succeeded in doing the right thing.

Someone lighting a cigarette in a crowded subway car is EVERYone's "bidnez". It's an enclosed space and some people can have adverse reactions to cigarette smoke...
