I'm kinda torn right now between getting a Droid or waiting for the HTC Nexus One to come to Verizon. If I get a Droid and return within 30-days for the N1, what happens to apps that I buy? Can I port them over to the new phone somehow, or do I just lose them?

Thanks,
Jim

I'm guessing they're linked to your google account. The Market does require that you login to use it. So, I'm assuming you can download them again free. I haven't bought any apps, else I'd just wipe my phone and test for you.

yes, they're linked to your account. when you activate your new phone, and go to "downloads" in the market, all the apps you bought will be there and show "purchased"
you can download them whenever

also make sure you wipe/reset your droid before you hand it in...

Thanks guys good to know. Guess I'll try to get the Droid in early March, as the Nexus One is suppose to hit Verizon March 22nd or 27th, or something like that.

Yeah. If you get the N1 and decide to return it, you will only be able to do so within 2 weeks and even with that HTC will charge you a restocking fee.
