Exchange2K problems - so close yet so far

Ok, if you guys recall I was having mail problems before, being able to send outside LAN but can recieve email from the Internet. The problem, for a slight moment seemed to have gone away. Jus yesterday I tried sending mail to my LAN from my yahoo email account. Low and behold two of them actually came thru!! Whether I received the email immediately after I sent the email is an unknown since I did not get around to checking my internal LAN mailbox account til today. Nor did I receive one of those envelope icon popups at the bottom right of my taskbar.

Actually two emails came thru. One from yesterday, and one was from all the way back from the 19th of February. The 19th email I thought would've been terminated by the yahoo mail server long time ago, like any other undeliverable mail. Not sure why that one came through.

Question, is there a way I can force my Exchange server to query the internet mail servers for any new incoming mail?? Thx for any help.
