Exchange Server message storage location?

I think you can change it, mine are in Program Files\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA\ (mail are stored in one edb file, i believe. This may differ if you have another version of Exchange). I don't think you can open the files directly, just configure a client to connect to each account, or grant one account access to all the mailboxes and open each one from outlook.

Needing to know where the Exchange stores are have no bearing on accessing emails (in a simple Exchange environment). Use Outlook to connect to and access the Exchange server. Backup the stores for email protection.

The actual location can be found by looking at the properties for the storage group by right-clicking on it. As previously stated, you can't access them directly.
