Hey All,
Currently my company uses a 3rd party "proxy" type thing to filter our email. (SpamCat.com) In the past week I have had more problems with them (IE: All our email getting blocked, etc) and I need a solution for our Exchange server that handles Spam. It would be nice to have it possible for me to check the filter and decide if something is spam or not.

What kind of exchange solutions for spam have you guys tried that work well?

Thanks...

Well, you are using Exchange - that is your first mistake ;)

We use Novell GroupWise for our mial system. The spam blocker we use with it is
GWAVA

Works very well.

But I don't think it will help you out any...... sorry.

I still say outsourced is the way to go. We use MXLogic's Defender through MailStreet and MessageLabs depending on the size of our client.

Where I used to work, I had a Spam Assassin box running infront of the Exchange 2003 server. Had the Exchange server setup as the primary MX record and the Spam Assassin box setup as the secondary. Created a rule on the firewall to block mail to the Exchange server so it would fail over to the SA box. Mail would then forward from the SA box to the Exchange 2003 server internaly. If the SA box ever died, just disable the FW rule and the mail would still keep a flowin.
