Exception games

Usually we like a genre - say, RPG, and have a lot we like.

There are genres I usually don't care for much - but there are games that are exceptions.

One is racing games - but I loved Burnout Paradise.

Another is FPS - but Serious Sam was a lot of fun.

I can't quite vouch for it because I didn't play long at all, but for wargames, The Perfect General II - I can't find a copy now.
