After reading this article, I don't know how anyone could advocate the corporate or socialist welfare state when we've always had it and it hasn't worked.
Likewise, I fail to see how anyone could reject capitalism, when they've never experienced it, because it has really never existed in the U.S.; the only time that was even close to a capitalist era since 1789, was from the time Andrew Jackson left office, until the day James Buchanan signed the Morrill Tariff.
