Meh I don't find the quotes that special. In my opinion Russia is stuck, because Putin made some wrong decisions and shows no initiative, for example in Chechnya or considering the liberty of the press. The quotes are insightful for the mindset of Putin but obviously some of them are lies. I like this one:

Speaking about Russia's oligarchs, who got rich quick after the fall of the Soviet Union, April 11, 2003: "Everyone has to understand, once and for all, that you've got to obey the law all the time, and not just when someone's got you by the short hairs."

Nobody cares about the money of the oligarchy. As long as the oligarchs don't do stupid things like to support the political opposition with money or showing political ambitions at all. Chodorkowski and Lebedew did this before they were disappropriated and convicted.
