I'm having trouble figuring out how to google this, so here goes:

I have a multi-sheet workbook that is a schedule. Sheet 1 is the full schedule for the week, then Sheets 2-7 are the daily schedules for Monday-Friday.

I'd like to be able to just link/clone/whatever the chunks of data on sheet 1 over to any and all other sheets that need the information so that when I update the schedule, I don't have to chase down all the daily instances, and can JUST update the weekly schedule.

Any thoughts?

You can use the vlookup or hlookup functions to return times or other info to sheets 2 - 7. That way you only have to change the info on the weekly schedule and it will be reflected in the daily schedules. You can find more information here.

Yep Vlookup is your way to go though I am more of a Match-Index fan due to the restrictions of the lookup (see here)
Plus I fear some trouble if your search value in the schedule is a text such as a weekday. In my experience lookups work best with codenumbers. So if you are experiencing any trouble with the lookup check if the cells are formated correctly and the content of your match is exactly the same.

Thanks, I'll look into those. The schedule gets a small change every couple of weeks, and it gets tedious chasing down all the daily instances (and I miss one every so often, there's all these latent pieces of bad info lingering around still).
