I have 5 different excel files all with pricing data in it. I would like to make a sixth spreadsheet that will display information from the first 5 excel files (like i want to show specific cells from the other spreadsheets in the sixth spreadsheet.) Is this possible in excel? If so how can I do this?

I'm guru but if you only need to show a few cells you can mark the cell you want to display the data in and press '=' and then go back to the other sheet and click on the cell you need to show.

You said you had 5 different files--the above method will work well if it's different spreadsheets in the same book/file, but are they in different books/files?

If they're in different books, can you put them in the same book?

they'll be in different books. I intent on sending 5 excel files to 5 people, they type in all there pricing info, excel sheet does math and gives a price. After I get the 5 sheets back, instead of opening up the 5 excel files and looking at the prices, I just wanna open up a sixth spreadsheet that would be able to get the pricing info from the other 5 files. Is this possible with multiple books, or does it work with only one?

If what i'm saying above is not possible, is it possible to send ppl a spreadsheet from a book? So maybe instead of having 6 excel books, I have one book with 6 spreadsheets, and I sent 5 spreadsheets to 5 ppl, and when I get the spreadsheets back, I add them to the book. Is this possible?

Not sure about writing formulas across books, but you might be able to google it.

You can copy a sheet to a new book and probably do it that way. Not sure how much time that would take, though. You could also possibly protect each sheet with different passwords and have them "reply with changes", but I've never used that and couldn't tell you how well it works.
