Can anyone post or provide a link to information regarding to setting up an Excel sheet that will calculate the break even point for stock purchases? I don't need necessarily need one that also calculates the purchase fee.. just something that will let me punch in numbers (stock price and shares purchased) and will display the break even point. Thanks!

If I understand your question, let's say the price per share is in A1, the number of shares is in B1, and the buy commission is in C1. Assuming the sell commission will be the same, you use this formula to calculate the break even point:

=(C1*2)/B1+A1

you also have to factor in inflation and the profit you would have turned by buying t-bills

Can't you just put in each trade with its shares and price, then average them?

i.e.
b 100 amzn @ $13 = $1300
b 100 amzn @ $17 = $1700

$1300+$1700 = $3000
$3000 / 200 shares = $15 = breakeven :)

Anyhow if you're actually doing the trades with datek, they have a thingy that does this for you.
