The program runs fine, just the doof trying to use it... I'm getting hourly measurements in 32nds of an inch, how do I convert these to decimals in Excel? In other words, I have a gross measurement of 140.25 in 32nds and I want to subtract 134.29 in 32nds. The answer needs to be in decimals.

Just divide by 32: 140.25 units - 134.29 units = 5.96 units => (5.96 / 32) = 0.18625 inch

(Unless I'm missing something.... :p)

If I'm understanding correctly... you have 140.25 32nds ? You want to subtract 134.29 which is not in 32nds...

If that is correct here is the formula

=(A1-(B1/32))*32

Put this in cell C1
Cell A1 is your gross measurment
Cell B1 is your measurement to be subtracted

Basically it takes your gross measurement and converts your other measurment to 32nds and then subtracts the two. Then, it multiplies by 32 to convert back in to a decimal.

If I made this too complicated, and They are both in 32nds, you would use

=(A1-B1)/32
as suggested by WillyF1uhm1
