I noticed that there are fonts that only appear in Excel (such as the font "Terminal") that do not appear in other Office applications (such as Word).

Does anyone know the nature of how fonts work in Excel/Office and how I could alter this behavior so I could make some of those fonts available in Word as well?

FYI dont bother looking for them in %systemroot%/fonts I already tried ;)

There are no Excel-only fonts. MS Word seems to only show True Type Fonts (TTF), while other programs including Excel show ALL fonts, including the bitmap fonts. Bitmap fonts looks pretty bad at anything but the default size.

that was actually a question. "why is it that I cannot find the fonts in the system font directory?"

Thanks for the help.

The file should be named *.fon - try doing a search for this string everywhere on your drive.

Good luck.
