Excel: I import but I do not want the links

I import data into a spreadsheet but I do not want the built in links to be imported. For instance, I import a hockey player statistics but the name is a link to his web page. I do not want that link. I tried paste special to remove it but it did not work. Please advise.

Well, depending on how the html code is, you could just have Excel truncate everything in the < and > which should leave only their name (assuming their name was the text for the link). Even if it's not, truncate should still work, you'll just have to figure out what to cut.
