Excel Documents Print Red?

Recently, any document I print from Excel 2008 Mac will print with red font. It also prints incredibly slow compared to what it should print. I tried changing the font style and making sure it wasn't actually set on red somehow, but that didn't work. Installed new cartridges, no luck. I'm wondering if something isn't wrong with my printheads, because color documents are printing just awful. The color isn't right and theres streaks in the image. I tried cleaning them with the printer utility but that didn't work. Any ideas?

I had this problem once, but it was long ass time ago. It is a setting (check box I think) somewhere that needs to be toggled. Look carefully in your Excel's print properties settings (among the different available tabs and advanced settings; eg, print all text in black).

Also, in "Page Setup" (File Menu), check "Black and White" under "Print" (Sheet Tab).

What printer? Do you get red text from all programs (a good one to try would be Word), or just Excel? Are the new cartridges from the original manufacturer, or third party?

I used to have an HP printer that, if it ran out of black ink, would print text in blue or red.
