Excel 2013 frozen (-ish) until resizing window

Basically, sometimes Excel 2013 will act like it's completely frozen although it's actually allowing you to click and edit and do stuff just invisible. The window won't update or anything. It looks like the program froze. However, if you resize the window or drag it around, it suddenly updates and shows you all those edits you made. (Basically, it's like invisible tetris)

Anyone else experience this? I can't find anything about it on Google. It's super annoying because I'm using Chrome on one monitor and then updating and scrolling through the spreadsheet in another monitor. I can't have the damn thing become unresponsive and need to have the window resized (from maximized state) all the time. 🙁

Safe mode doesn't help either. This is really really really annoying. 🙁 Turned off all the add-ins too. Sigh.

I have a pretty small Excel file loaded. 500 rows by 10 columns. File itself is under 70kb...

I haven't tried with any other files because this is the only file I use Excel for right now. :/

First, try to create a new file, and see if the problem still persists. If yes:
- perform a repair (as suggested above), if still does not work,
- uninstall Office, using a good uninstaller
- perform a clean install

However, if the problem does not occur when using other files, then you need to move the contents from the old file, into a new file.

I think the repair did it. I went add or remove programs and did the repair option on office/excel/whatever.

Also, it's Excel 2016 apparently. Forgot I had 2016. Looks the same as 2013 in my mind (or maybe I'm used to it now, who knows).
