I just ordered the 1700 because it was a good (cheap) price. I am curious why the 1700 seems to be such a popular chip? There are entire threads dedicated specifically to the 1700 and 2100. Any particular reason why? Why not the 1800, 1900, 2000 Tbred?

the 2000+ t-bred b just became available a week or two ago and doesn't appear to overclock any better than the other chips

the 1700+ overclocks just as well as the 1800+ and is cheaper

also when comparing the 2100+ to the 2400+ it is cheaper and overclocks just as well

1700+ = best cheap sucker's overclocking chip
2100+ = best mid range sucker's overclocking chip

I just got a 0307 1700+ from them too! We'll see how well it does when it arrives. Now I just gotta get a new HSF.
