Go to the front page for Washingtonpost, New York Times, MSNBC, CNN, BBC, Reuters etc. and you will find lead stories on the bombing of the Italian Base in Nasraiya. Go to Foxnews.com and you will see a lead story about "Operation Iron Hammer" pounding Baghdad terrorists with little link to the story of the Nasiriya attack.

Bias?? I think so. Always harping on the negative. :disgust:

Because the only possible explanation is that Foxnews is reporting extremely well and every other major media outlet is horrible biased?

Are you saying that the bombing of one of our allies' bases is insignificant and should be ignored? We should instead focus on some witch hunt where the US will just imprison someone and never prove (and probably never be able to prove) that they ever did anything wrong?

So you call Justin Romaino over at antiwar.com or Pat Buchanan liberal I assume. Learn something new every day.

Reporting the news does not make one a liberal. Controlling the news, as bush has tried to do, does make one a militant...right or left.

Nice sarcasm Justin. :) Yes, Fox News along with the other YABA parrothead dittomonkeys around here seems to be obsessed with only "good news" out of Iraq.

And likewise you hate-filled pot smoking anti-war hippies seem to be obsessed with only "bad news" out of Iraq.

Is that wedding bells I hear....;)

Oh, I see why it's not significant. No Americans died in the bombing. Yeah, no "fair and balanced" American should care about the lives of a couple dozen Italians and Iraqis that were there trying to stabilize the region for us.

I believe it's more of a question of which story is bigger- more important, than focusing on 'bad news'.

Yeah, and Fox seems to think that killing Iraqis allegedly involved in supporting Saddam is more important than saving the lives of Italians and Iraqis trying to support democracy. Shows you where their priorities are. Typical of these "conservatives" to love their "holy vengeance".

I know that - Both are important. That's why I made no comment on that part and only saw fit to send DealMonkey's volley back at him;)

This is really evidence that Fox is biased. News outlets are ambulance chasers. If it bleeds, it leads. For Fox to not follow these conventions means that it's biased.

Considering major combat ended on May 1, the US bombing raid of a possible insurgent staging area is a 2nd tier story at best. Who cares about dead Italians and Iraqis anyway . . .

Not that Iron Hammer is such a great news for the US either. The fact that it's needed shows the failure of our defense establishment to quell the resistance in Iraq. But the Italian situation is just a bigger story, IMO, because it's a test of our coalition member's commitment.
Now that it's not all bellissimo and a dolce vita, are they going to cut and run?

i hope this thread was intended to be humorous rather than proof that the media has a leftist bias.

besides making fox news look completely bias...you accomplished nothing.

Who was it that said (in another FOX News thread) that they were convinced that FOX wasn't biased at all? I think it was charrison. I wonder if this would change his mind at all.

I'm convinced fox news is as biased to the right, as most of the other outlets are to the left.

What really pisses the left off is how well Fox News is doing...has nothing to do with bias.

I think what pisses off those who are pissed off is the constant, never-ending, in your face claim by FOX that it isn't biased. Fair and Balanced. We report, you decide. I dunno, maybe it's not even that...maybe it's the claim by the diehard right who say that FOX isn't biased. One thing is sure...FOX being biased or not sure causes a lot of discussion. :)

Charrison is well aware of FOX's leanings as he is with the leanings of the other media. I think mistake him for someone else.

Are you a subscriber CAD? Sadly, my sub ran out...no body text searches. Do a search for FOX by charrison. See what you come up with. I can paraphrase the comment..."After reading that article, I'm more convinced than ever that FOX isn't biased." Maybe do a search for 'convinced' and 'fox'?

Here is the quote from charrison:
"After reading that article I am more convinced that fox is fair and balanced. They are not without bias, but then no media outlet is."
