I love my daughter but my ex-wife is a pain in the.........

4 more years and I no longer have to deal with my ex, until then she gets a check from me every month and gets to dictate my daughters life. Things got better for a while, but now her "control freak" personality decided to show itself again.

She asked my 14 year old daughter to snoop through my stuff while I'm occupied (showering, running to the convenience store etc...)

I need some medicine!!!!!!!

Did your daughter tell you this or did you catch her?

Poor kid - my mom used to pull crap like that - and they weren't even divorced. :(

Yes. My ex is a complete control freak. We only got married because she was pregnant. it didn't last.

Pretty bad when you can't even trust your own kid.

It would be tough and punishing for you but I would write off the kid for a few months and tell the EX if you can't trust your own daughter she is no longer welcome in your home.

Maybe take her out to the movies but I would'nt bring a person into my home if I could not trust them.

So your daughter snooped?? :Q

Yep. She found empty beer cans in the garage and some pot. Fortunately she's old enough to explain too.
I've already spoke to her but am pissed off that her mom is asking her to do this.

I guess that isn't a good reason to get married, then. My co-worker married for the same reason and their marriage didn't last 2 years. She even went psycho on him and spent a few days in a mental hospital over that incident.

While my wife and I are legally separated now (after 9.5 years and no kids), I really have nothing bad to say about her. She doesn't bother me and I don't bother her. :)

I wish you best of luck in your future dealings with your ex.

As long as she didn't find your stash of photochopped Aircooled's cat pics all is good! ;)

Seriously though it it is always sad when adults try to use their children as pawns after a divorce.
