Republican former governor of NC, the champion of the HB2 "bathroom bill" want's to work in academia, but says no one will hire him because he is a bigot.

It cost him the election as Republicans took most races in the state, except him.

This bill drove companies away and cost North Carolinian's jobs.... now this bigot is whining like a little girl.... Karma's a bitch

Could also be the legacy of failure and corruption he left in his wake too. Just a thought. He probably doesn't want to talk about that though.

I wouldn't want him to be denied any job, but trying for an academic position? When you have both a history of bad ethics and practically staked your governorship on an ignorant, cruel attack on transgender people, don't be surprised if faculties around the country turn you down.

What is weird is the corporations acting as enforcers on this minuscule issue. There is something kinda creepy how they act lockstep like this.

This is really fascinating. Do you know how the LGBT lobby got corporations to lobby for them?

They evaluated them. They graded them and let them know the criteria they were being graded on.

That is actually kind of brilliant. Corporations are full of teachers pets who do anything for an "A."

I'm surprised he can't find any university to hire him. What about a Catholic university? They still discriminate against gays, don't they? Surely there's some fundamentalist university that would take him too.

Wait, corps have to hire everyone? Even the ones that will tarnish their image?

I'm sure Liberty University will cum in their pants to find a gig for this piece of shit.

Let's not forget that in addition to his history of bigotry towards sexual minorities he ALSO colluded with Republicans in the NC state legislature to engage in an egregious power grab that was designed to take powers away from the guy who beat him because he was a Democrat and permanently place Republicans in charge of state elections.

The guy is really a piece of shit on so many different levels it's hard to focus on just one.

Not to mention supported and defended the law restricting voter rights where the state got caught red handed explicitly trying to suppress voter turnout on a racial basis.

Calling him a piece of shit does a disservice to actual shit.

He should sign up with the same job shopping outfit that Gen. Flynn used. You know, jobs for the untouchables.

I'm sure there is money to be made hoisting him in a room and televising him tangling and arguing with trans people.

Ummm, that would constitute millions of "babies" dying. Ejaculation, outside of procreation is a sin.

Well, I'm sure that Falwell and the other faculty at Liberty will be briefly confused over the nature of the sudden emissions in their pants over the thought of McCrory, and then feel great personal shame over the autonomic response that their bodies produced, but they will eventually get over it. Kinda like how rabid anti-gay republicans eventually get over their actual homosexuality.

After the shitshow NC republicans pulled after losing the governors office, I wouldn't hire one to bag groceries.

Corrupt and shameless Banana republicans crying about hardship or inequities? Standby, must locate quantum violin and Kleenex.

What, like every advocacy group does? Hard to call brilliant when everyone else is doing it.

I'm talking about how the NBA said they would move the All Star game because of HB2.

Big corps do get to decide how and where they spend their money. It just so happens they do not agree witb HB2 and voted with their feet.
