Where is this? cant find anything about him saying to stop the investigation.

Indeed, Ellison has called for Trump's impeachment in the recent past. Having a hard time believing that Trump's admission of obstruction justice has somehow convinced this democrat that we should abandon the investigation. I can't wait to see his source.

Non other than Keith Ellison is saying it's time to drop this RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA agenda. I never, ever thought I'd be saying this but you guys should list to Rep. Ellison.

My guess is that the Dem party is getting concerned about what stones might be turned over in an investigation by Mueller. There really is no other reason for leaders of the party to want to drop this. It certainly isn't to help foster a climate of cooperation and compromise.

Spent some time looking for this and I found nothing. The only thing Ellison walked back is his direct accusation that Trump conspired with Russia and he should have. That went too far based on what can be known now. I'll spend a little more time searching, not much, but what you claim isn't showing.

Ahh I think I may have found a reference piece but it doesn't say "back off" at all.

Rush transcript via Grabien:

George, what I want to say is that I've just been on the trail talking to people all over the country. I was just in Oklahoma. And to them, it's like, yeah, this Russia thing, they're very concerned about it. But also the health care debate we're in, repealing Dodd-Frank, the whole piece of it is what people are really focused on. You want to talk about what's the real story as opposed to this week's mess? All this stuff just looks to people like it's crazy. It's chaotic. And I'm going to show up in my congressman's meeting and I'm going to be part of this upsurge of democracy.

That is what is claimed Ellison said which of course doesn't say back down.

Odds that boomerang will come back and either provide evidence or retract his insane post? My guess is near zero. I'm sure he will follow that with a post in a few days talking about how stupid other people are for believing incorrect news stories, entirely without irony.

Or anything even remotely close to that.

I don't see why it can't be both. Let's the intelligence agencies investigate, but it seems Trump really doesn't want that for some reason.

Based on that article, I wonder if he realizes Ellison is of the Islam faith.

Exactly. They desperately want to focus on leaks, and calling the media biased, and the blame game... But at the center, when you get past all the politics and crap, you have the FBI that obviously feels an investigation is warranted and a president that seems way WAY too against having that investigation take place. If he's innocent, why be so afraid of the truth coming out?

Gowdy got dragged. Similar to Yates taking Cruz out behind the woodshed a few weeks ago. These smarmy fucking weasels try to use their comfy little soapbox to grandstand and end up getting torched. Love it.
Gowdy is such a pip squeak asshole. What do you expect from the man that ran endless bullshit hearings on Bengazi, not to find out what happened and try to prevent it from happening again, but just to politically nail Hillary.
