So I acquired a copy of Star Wars Galaxies and have been playing for a little while. For sh!ts and grins I decide to make my player female. 99% of the people treat me just the same as when I'm playing as a male character (seeing as how I speak and act like a male character, even making fart and other crude jokes at times and such).

Recently this one person has been following me around, and started talking to me. I'm thinking it's just another person to talk to for a few minutes, but at the end of our first conversation the guy asks if he can put me on his buddy list in game. I say sure and don't think twice about it.

Today he's turning up the heat quite a bit. He started asking for pics and other "real" info about me. I said I didn't have any pics so he moved on to more *ahem* intimate discussions. He asked me how old I was and where I lived. He had already told me he lived in FL, so I figured I'd throw him off the track right now... I said I was 16 and lived in Maine. That's a good 2 days drive if you're going all day non-stop. Plus, he said he was 23. 23 and 16 DO NOT MIX!!! That's statutory rape! I'm thinking the guy will give up now at this point and move on. NOPE. Now the guy is talking about how he wants to come up and "visit" me and "am I into freaky stuff?" :Q:Q:Q:Q

This guy is basically propositioning a minor! JEEBUS!!! So the guy is waiting for me to come back now because I'm taking my "puppy" outside. I'm going to let him know the truth, that I'm really a 23 year old Marine and let him know how fvcked up in the head he is, but before I do that should I say anything else to him? God I wish SWG had automatic logging so I could send this to the FBI or something.
 
If you have his name and address that's really all you'll need to report it to the FBI. They can put him under survaillance and get the appropriate information. If you don't do anything about it he'll probably just keep doing it until he finally does get a young girl.
 
Let him come visit you, but notify your local police first. If you have copies of the chats, they will be easy evidence against that sick bastard.

exactly... Seems I recently read somewhere that they're setting up task forces (maybe in NY?) to hunt down cyber stalkers going after minors.

It does, if you type /report (I think that was the command) it logs and sends all the visible text to them, but you have to follow it up with a CSR ticket.

EDIT: It may be /report username, I can't remember.

Where are you located? The FBI has field offices all over the country, so if you're in a semi-large metropolitain area there's probably one pretty close. If you don't want to go to them you can go to the local police (as mentioned above) and they can hand it off to the Feds. Logs would help, but it seems that you have more than reasonable suspicion.

I got a first name and a phone number... is that enough?
 
Hold on... you should really see where he wants this to go before you actually report him. I'm sure there are tons of desperate-for-a-gf guys on the Internet.

That's all you'll really need if you're giving it to the FBI. That'll be plenty to track him down. I'm not to familiar with Virginia, but you could probably send something to the main office in DC if you can't find a field office. They may not have many field offices there due to the proximity to DC, but I couldn't say for sure.
