What, all this and no pics?
Are you sick? I don't want to see a nasty tape worm.
It's standard procedure for this forum to ask for pics.

Yeah, plus parasitic worms are cool.

I guess I should get with the program and google tapeworms.

Not.

Like I said, Black Walnut Oil is a natural dewormer. Putting a few drops in the water each day will help keep them from coming back if you have problems.

Here's what you need and what your vet would probably give you:

My sister's cat had to be given those. Somehow I was the one who was tasked for the job.

Ever tried giving a cat a pill?

The bleeding didn't stop for 15 minutes or more...

Wrapping them in a towel is the only way to give some cats pills. My dad had one cat that took two (2) full grown men and two towels to hold it. Plus another person to give it the pill.

They had that pic, or one very similar to it, at the vet's office that we used to go to when I lived with my mom. It was poster sized and always made me cringe.

Both of my cats had tapeworms when I adopted them from the humane society.

I didn't have to administer pills, though. It was a chalky white liquid that I had to give once or twice a day for a while. Pretty easy to administer compared to a pill. I hate administering pills. The only way I've had any success is to break the pill up into a chicken flavored gel cap and then put that gel cap into their wet food with crumbled treat sprinkled on top.

LOL! Oprah said she wanted one after her favorite doctor came on her show and made her hold a giant tapeworm up and told her how much it ate!

What a weight loss revelation! Tape worm in a capsule! Call now before the commercial is over and we will send you 2 for the price of one! :p

Like has been said, you should go with Drontal over what you may find in the store. Tapeworms require different chemicals than other worms, I know Drontal works with tape and round worms, and works well. Might not be so fortunate with other products.
