Evolution....

I have two questions about evolution.... I'd like to get out that I'm a creationist, and I've wondered these two questions for a while....

First: Where did the first living things come from? (evolve from)

Second: Where did everything as we know it evolve from? How did the universe and such "evolve" from nothing? (If that is the case)

Evoltuion doesn't exist.

Jesus lived in the Garden of Eden with the dinosaurs, T-Rex, Adam & Eve.

I have a question for you: Where did God come from? How did he create anything ex nihilo?

"He's omnipotent" or "He is beyond our comprehension" is a glib answer.

Dinosaur isn't the right name. They're called Jesus Ponies.

T-Rex was in the Garden? Eve and Adam had some bitchin' music to rock out to!

Those are fairly simple questions, and can easily be answered in a couple sentences on a message board.....

Evolution = idea that life forms from long ago slowly changed into life forms we see today. Not counting all those that died in the process.

Surely you are familiar with the hot soup theory and the big bang theory. But do you really have to make it an all-or-nothing proposition? It is easy for me: God created through the forces of science and evolution.

i still don't get why they didn't teach this during my biology class! 😛

My view is: whatever happened already happened and we are already here. We shouldn't argue over how we got here, but rather worry about what lies ahead. To me, I came from the union of sperm and egg and that's all that matters.

As someone that appears to be part of the christian faith, do you believe in predestination?

No. - To simply put it.

Do you believe God is omnscient? As in he can see into the past and the future?

EDIT: Evolution does not have anything to do with life's beginning. It has everything to do with the change in life.

However, I'll assume you meant science in general:

I'm no expert, but here's what I've gathered:

The current theory is that there's amino acids/RNA/DNA out there in space on floating debris. That's how it got to earth. We've collected data from meteors, and I believe that's what's given support to the theorey.

We have no idea where the building blocks from life come from.

I personally believe the universe has no start or end. It spans infinitely in time in both directions. I think space spans infinitely in 3D space. The Big Bang theorey is just a local structure's beginning/cycle. Everythin in science would suggest this...atoms/solar systems/galaxies, etc. Why would it stop there? Things should get infinitely large/small.

While infinite values may boggle some people's minds, I can't imagine there being a boundary of existance. We're not a video game.

Yes and No, but I'm at a loss for words as to how to explain it the way I believe. I know what you are getting at, because if I answer "yes" then that would mean that everyone has a predetermined destination because God already knows where they are going.

It rained on the rocks for a long time and turned them into soup. Alphabet soup to be exact, which eventually spelled RIBOSOME, then later DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID.

Man that soup could SPELL...
