If we did evolve from apes, why don't we see half evolved apes today? you know, the steps of evolution in between.

THANK YOU a  for you!

This is the most common misconception regarding the theory of evolution and the # 1 thing that the uninformed spout off about.

As was already pointed out, we share a common ancestor. The closest thing you'll find is the neanderthal, which lived along side homosapiens for some time until they went extinct. They were supposedly more intelligent (or at least had larger brains) than us.

Yeah, and the fossil record shows plenty of evidence to support this.

There is more then enough evidence to suggest that this is the most likely scenario. We didn't just pop out from nowhere, so do you know of another line of animal we could have come from?

Not likely more intelligent, but the side of their brain that controlled dexterity and motor reflexes was much larger than ours.

I was reading that they could indeed have been more intelligent, but lacked the physical capability to develop complex language, which is one of the key factors in the development of man and society.

There are so many things wrong with this question I dont even know where to start.

Well an alien race could have come and planted a seed. Or a meteor could have landed and broke apart and inside that was us !

However, i believe aliens planted our arses here :-D

hi
you must be new on internet chatrooms and forums

There's really no need to attribute what you don't understand to a god. This is what people have done throughout history, and time & time again they've been proven wrong by science. Science doesn't claim to have all of the answers, mind you, only to seek them out using logic.
