Evo finals tonight on ESPN2 at 10pm EST

thought i'd post this here since i know we have a couple fighting game fans. this is the first time a fighter has actually made it on tv i believe. they are airing the actual SF5 finals on ESPN2 tonight. i'm curious to see if it's different than the stream on twitch or not. i'll be tuning in for sure.

yup, really enjoying the stream right now. was pulling for LI Joe, so glad he at least made top 8.

Man, I don't know if I like the format of a stadium type thing. Like, I understand why they needed to do it, but the others were so fun.

the sound was completely f'd though. it was like everyone was competing for sound. mike ross and seth on the ESPN broadcast, then you could hear chen/sajam on the loud speakers in the background, with the crowd in the background and the game sound. it was just a cluster of sounds.

i think having the commentary in general in the loud speakers was a bad idea. that just isn't normal for live events, sports or previous FGC events.

was really cool how li joe's dad flew out. i thought he knew about it but he had no clue until he was playing i don't think, based on his comment after he won his first match.
