Evil XP Suspend/Resume Problem

Hey Gang,

I have a Thinkpad T20 running Windows XP, which has a serious problem with the suspend/resume power management feature. Whenever I try to resume the system from the suspended state, the system shows a BSOD and reboots itself. Worse yet, the system locks up when it tries to restart, so I need to power down the system and restart it again to get it running.

So far, here's the steps that I tried to fix this problem:

1) I've updated all of my drivers to their latest "XP Compatible" versions. This includes the IBM PM Driver, which is SUPPOSED to fix this problem.

2) I've installed all of the latest Windows Updates, including the Microsoft Suspend/Resume fix. It also didn't work.

3) I updated the BIOS to the latest "XP Compatible" version.

4) I uninstalled VMWare, which has been known to have problems with suspend/resume. No help.

Does anyone else have any ideas? I've disabled all of the suspend/resume features for now, but I'd like to be able to fix this problem so I don't kill the battery on my ThinkPad when I'm running it on the road.

Thanks for any help!
