Have any of you watched this movie yet?

I did last night, it was amazing.

That is all.

Went to it last weekend. Loved the original, and ED2, but not a fan of the remake. Don't really see why it was made (other than the obvious - to make money).

Saw it release day since I was off from work that day anyway. Liked it but wasn't any more standout than other horror movies at the same level.

Was decent for sure, just not great IMO.

I liked it. didn't think it was as good as any of the first three, but it had its moments.

Is this supposed to be a remake or just several years down the line some more people show up there? Looked like they had Ash's old car there.

Yes it was great. I was getting tired of all the PG-13 horror movies as of late..

I've been tempted to see it because I'm tired of the poor excuse for horror that we have today. I'm not even a big horror fan, but when I end up seeing one, and all they do is try to startle me... that annoys me. It's no different than someone screaming "SURPRISE!" or "BOO!" I want a movie to give me a reason to plug in a night light and cuddle with my teddy bear*.

*Note: aikouka does not admit to owning either of those.

One of the worst movies I have ever endured. Having been a junkie of the originals and having a very open mind and having been pretty excited by the trailers the movie was a complete let down from the story line, to the bad acting, to the stupid brother... Just bad.

What do you consider to be a scary movie that's good?

Yeah pointless shameless remake of original with minimal changes to the script and less funny/entertaining.

The one thing I really didn't like was the
nail gun, it didn't have any air or power hooked up to it. that was lame..

Watched it last weekend, it was ok. I went into it expecting a horror movie, the trailers looked kinda scary. After watching it, I felt like it was more of a thriller than horror. I unfortunately was not scared at any point throughout.

Yeah, that REALLY bothered me;
it actually bothers me in all movies with nail guns because nail guns don't even work that way. When it first happened I rationalized it in my mind by saying maybe the demon was controlling the nails, but when the guy started using it, I was pissed off.
Very annoying.

really? i thought it sucked, it was bloody but not scary... i saw it with a full crowd and half the people were laughing at the movie.. like thats gonna scare me ?

there was a preview for the conjuring, that was scary. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1457767/?ref_=sr_1

God I saw that trailer laying in bed in the dark. Scared the shit out of me.

Not really into horror movies so much but for some reason I want to see the "Carrie" remake. Looks actually decent but I could be very wrong.
