I hate console gaming. So what's next, RTS, RPG? I'll still wait to see if this is an industry wide trend because Activision is only one company, though a big player. Games ported from consoles to PCs "lack' something from my experience.

FPS gaming is over for me . . . anyway

after playing Oblivion for nearly 300 hours . . . a RPG/FPS hybred . . . tha plays superbly on PC [just like a FPS]

. . . . i won't miss 'em at all

i never cared for CoD, so no biggie for me . . .

and so what . .. if you want #3 just buy a concole for your Big Screen TV . . . i don't know about yours. . . but there is room in my house for a PC and a console.

I would say that. Deus Ex has yet to be rivaled and although Far Cry was great, we haven't had very many classic games lately. Of course, the consoles are just as bad if not worse as well.

imo, it is the best game of this Millenium.

the only games that ever came close for me - up-till-now - were Chronicles of Riddick,Thief and DE series . . . but put all together they are way shorter than Oblivion.

maybe KotOR . . . but the turn-based fighting is awful for a [former] FPSer.

the real apoppin is heading back to oblivion . . .

fps gaming on consoles sucks. period. any controller jockey would get their ass handed to them by someone with a keyboard/mouse. the level of control is on another level. as hard as eb games/gamestop are trying to kill pc gaming (which really doesn't make sense because it's lost sales for them) it just ain't happening.

Yeah take a cheap PC, plug it into your TV and add a couple gamepads and you've got a friggin' console PLUS movie player, jukebox, TV timeshifter/recorder etc. etc. etc.

FPS are always best played on PC, I never liked consoles for FPS. But the physics and the gameplay looked very real in the COD3 trailer. Looks good!

Aside from platformers and racing games, all games are better on the PC. Controllers are only good for a select few games. Try playing Starcraft 64 or the PS version of Diablo and compare them with their PC counterparts.

The only way PC gaming is going to die if these numbers are true and hit zero.

As for CoD 3 it's just one game, I would be more worried if more follow in suit. Otherwise, it's just one game and nothing to worry about.
