Evga 500w bronze or gold, or Cx 450w bronze/Cxm? Which of these do you think is the better PSU? I am doing a budget build and with prices high and stock low these 2 fit my budget, or is there a better one for under $75 to choose? Thanks.

Yes, I have been researching it, but there's a lot that I think comes down to experience with them, that's why I ask, and I agree the CX seems like a safe bet, but the EVGA BQ is new on my radar so hoping someone here might know more.

$13 more for 200W is good. For something sold on eBay which likely won't have a warranty is not.

Also, if you don't NEED 650W, there's no reason to pay more for 650W.

What's the problem? Are you just having issues finding something in stock?

Yes, stock is definitely an issue; but right now it's a CX650 for $70 comparing to the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 BQ which the seller tells me he gets from the manufacturer and comes with the warranty, is about $15 more; semi-modular; I see it's in stock on EVGA's 'site but for $80 with $15 shipping so...could go either way, really just a matter of which of these 2 PSU's are the better quality?

Just ordered the CX650, was back out of stock earlier so didn't hesitate, checked it just now and back out of stock again, glad I didn't wait. Thanks.

Ended up getting the CX650, DOA. Am increasing my price range to around $100; just want a reliable PSU. Am thinking Super Flower Leadex 3 Gold 550W or Corsair RM650X Gold, is one of these better than the other, or is there another psu better than them for the money--and in stock?

Both are excellent choices. If you can buy either one of those right now due to shortages, just flip a coin to decide. Either one one will easily power the components you listed above.

Yes, but is one significantly better than the other? I've read good reviews on the Super Flower but doesn't have large presence here in USA. The Corsair on the other hand large presence, lots of reviews. Some things of interest: Super Flower has Fluid dynamic bearing fan, & Corsair uses a rifle bearing fan, Super Flower makes a lot of company's psus and has their own factory/engineering team but Corsair works with CWT lending more resources to their product--don't know if this is better or not, just saying. Which one do you think is the better PSU overall? It's a hard choice, in some ways looks like the RM650X has better build quality but in other ways seems to favor the Leadex3 550w.

Like I said, they are both excellent choices, and you can't go wrong with either one. Don't overthink the decision.

Went with the Super Flower; but turned out that CX650 wasn't DOA, was something else; now I have this extra PSU that's still within the return window; I don't think I'll need a backup for the Super Flower. Do you think I should hold on to the CX, or send it back? Came to $75 with tax.

From experience, it's always a good thing to have a spare working PSU stashed away for "emergencies".

You're right, was thinking wish I'd had a spare PSU when thought it was the problem; just it's another thing that'll probably never get used, and a $75 thing could convert into something that I would use now, know what I mean?

Yep, back it goes; am really liking this Super Flower; for the extra $35 there's really no comparison, I think, just for peace of mind; running fanless unless gets hot enough to come on and the fan itself being FDB should last a really long time, unless some random component fails, but I'm feeling at ease with it.
