None of the online vendors advertise it with their cards anymore, but EVGA's website on the ordeal still lists it as active... The only reason I would buy EVGA at this point is for the free game and I am skeptical whether it is still free when you buy a new GT200 series of cards. Can anyone confirm, deny?

Thanks, Yeah, I will... I just wanted to order the card soon though, and typically email is not answered by businesses over the weekend, and if it is, generally not in a timely manner. I'll shoot them an email then, or go with Zotac. Althought if they can be rated based on their website, I should stay away from them... Zotacusa doesn't even list their GT200 cards as a product of theirs! Sheeeeit, that has only been sold for like... 3 months now? :-/

Which card are you buying?

This BFG card comes with Farcry from TD.

Also a nice deal on a factory OC (AMIR).

Edit: It also appears a couple 260s are as well.

Woah! I forgot about Tiger Direct... It looks like I will pickup that BFG card then. Thanks... Now I just need to muster the courage to enter in CC and part with the money....

If you've waited this long you might as well wait for the official launch of the GTX 285 in a few days. At the very least it should push the price of the 65nm GTX 280 down if that's what you're looking to buy.

Uhg... You are right... It just seems like right after Christmas I have an urge to buy something... I know I should wait... Well, if the official launch truly is a few days from now, I guess I will wait... I almost finished entering in my information TD too... Hehe, thanks for the reminder though. I'll see if I can hold out until February to see what happens.

Yah but you can always play the waiting game. Sometimes its just nice to have your nice new card and get more use out of it before you feel like it is obsolete. :p

Id say youve done pretty well waiting for it to go from $650+ to ~$300 AMIR + FC2.

You would be right... However, I did notice that even many of the overclocked cards seem to have a hard time getting above a 1400 or so shader speed reliable. The core doesn't seem to have problems hitting 700 though. But it is the shaders that seem to limit the performance potential... Anyway, after looking up the 285GTX gigabyte news release, it appears they have increased the shader clock quite a bit. Plus, if that is the stock clock, I have to believe these things will hit 750/1600ish or so. So, that is my plan... I'll pick up a 285GTX provided one can be had for $399 or under. I have set asside $400 for this very thing! Let us hope it comes true... Plus, the reduction in reported power consumption would be a huge, huge plus since it will not require as much cooling and hopefully will result in less fan speed and thus less noise.

The eVGA GTX 260 Core 216 Rev 2 (the 55nm revision) comes with Far Cry 2 still (I just got mine in the mail with FC2), if that helps any.
