That's one board I'm not going to be getting. They put the 1X slot right below the first 16X slot making it impossible to use my Xonar Essence STX.

Unless you are going to be running 3-way SLI I don't see how the 1x slot placement is an issue?

I'm going to be running 3-way SLI.

Then I guess you and I are in the same boat. I have the same audio card and I don't want to go back to onboard.

We would have to go for the Classified over the FTW. I'm really leaning to the EVGA's as they have full POSCAPs. The only thing that worries me is the SATA ports and the 1x slot.

That was about the same process of elimination I used for my board choice -- though the only difference was that I wanted the 1X / 4X slot at or near the bottom, as I thought that directly above the first GPU would lead to heat dissipation issues. Mabye I went overboard with that thinking.

I narrowed it down the the EVGA P67 SLI, but the Cougar Point fiasco and EVGA in general taking forever to get the boards out ruined those plans, which was how I ended up where I did. And just barely, too... I think I got the last one from Newegg at that moment before they sold out, middle of March.
