I am here in Canada. My Video Card 8800 GTS 640 is dying
Crashing a lot Windows gives memory dump and Driver wont load
Games crashes. I never have called EVGA not sure how are they
Any body have some experince to share ?

Your SOL. Also, you may want to check your cooler for dust, clean it out and hope it works. On the unlikely event that they do agree to service your product, be advised evga constitutes dust buildup as "misuse" and will send your card back.

I thought they warranty their product for a year or two even if it's not registered? I'd say give it a try.

Other than the registration, their customer service is #1. Bar none.

Actually, if you read over on the EVGA forums they're often more than willing to work with you even if you haven't registered it within the month. A friend of mine didn't register it until after the month had passed...all he did was call them and they were willing to help out.

EVGA's tech support is fantastic. Never hurts to try anyway.

EVGA really ought to be paying me, given how forcefully I recommend them to people...

I've called their customer service several times over the years, and they provide genuinely phenomenal service. They even replaced an artifacting 7900 GT I forgot to register with a free 8800 GTS!

Always make it a habit to register your new GPU when you buy it - BUT- if you forget, EVGA is more than willing to help out in many cases. Their support is "top notch" and even if you contact them via email, they always respond very quickly. Never had a bad experience with them, and even in cases where some people I know couldn't be helped, they were very professional and curtious.

REGISTER YOUR GPUS EVERYONE!

I see comments like these all the time and wonder why more people don't follow the rules to get a lifetime warranty. Register FTW!

EVGA has the best RMA support as far as I am concerned. I like their tech support and RMA policies so much that I have around seven of their graphics cards ... from 6800GT's to a GTX 285 SSC ... and one of their 680i SLI motherboards.

Specifically, I had an EVGA 8800GTX 768M that failed about two years ago so I RMA'd it. I forgot to register the replacement card when I got it and I never thought about registering the new 8800GTX card until it failed about a month ago (artifacts).

Since EVGA tech support had never heard of the replacement card because I had never registered it, they were reluctant to authorize a second, freebie RMA; however, after speaking with one of the EVGA supervisors and asking him to check their records, we found the RMA shipping papers with my new card's model and serial numbers. At that point the supervisor made the appropriate adjustments to my records and I was not only able to RMA the replacement card, but was able to cross-ship the RMA to get the card as quickly as possible.

Mind you, I did remember to say "please", "may I", and "thank you" during my conversations with the EVGA staff.

I was so pleased with EVGA's personnel and policies that I put the RMA'd 8800GTX card into my X6800 rig and bought an EVGA GTX 285 SSC for my i7 965 rig.

And that's my story ...

If you were choosing between XFX and eVGA who would you prefer? XFX lets you resell the card with a warranty whereas eVGA does not.

In my experience, eVGA in general has been good to me since 2005.
Only on one occasion when I had a question about the card's overheating and I felt like I was interrogated almost like a criminal because of one arrogant tech support guy.
I finally hung up on him simply because there was no more point of getting my problem resolved from this guy.
I called eVGA the next day and this time, it was much better.
The tech support guy (different guy, of course) who was much more friendlier advised me to upgrade the power supply.

I'd pick eVGA. I've had nothing but good experiences with their customer support.

HOWEVER...if you're planning on reselling soon, the XFX 1+1 warranty is a good selling point. After a year or two though it won't matter as much since at the price people are willing to pay for older hardware, the XFX warranty transfer usually won't be a deciding factor between yours and someone else's card.

Also the eVGA stepup program does have its purpose. If you're buying a recently released card and pay close to MSRP for it, the stepup is an excellent option.
