Evga Step-Up Program

Hey, I've got a recently purchased Evga product that I'm thinking of submitting to the step-up program. There are two groups of cards listed as eligible, the *BACKORDERED* cards, and then ones just listed plainly.

I've read some nasty threads on the Evga forums that seem to show that if you order a card on backorder, your 'StepUp' will takes weeks, often months, to complete.

But what of the cards that don't show on the list as 'backorder'? How fast is the turnaround? Any experience with this here?

Well, if you get the backorder you don't send in your card unless they have them in stock so it's really not any slower then an "in stock" step up, IIRC.

Ok 🙂 Well, what about the 'in stock' step-up? How long does it take, after they have received my original card?

You send it USPS Priority, gets there in 2-3 business days (ships to Cali so, if you live closer it might take less time). I shipped it from NY and it took 2-3 days with the PRIORITY mail.

Processing takes a day or two.

They ship it out and it'll take however long it takes with the shipping that you ordered with the step up.

This is all AFAIK and IIRC.

eVGA's "backordered" queue is very short for step-ups right now. I was able to step-up to an 8800 GTX within a week of putting in for the step-up in the beginning of January 2007. Just order what you want.

yeah when g71 came out I stepped up from my 7800gt to a 7900gt. The step up prgram was PACKED, i was like 1000 and something in line. Despite that it took only a couple days for them to tell me to send it. Shipped it overnight and got it back 3 days later. When I buy my 8800gts this weekend I'm going eVGA for sure, love their service and the step up rocks.
