Darnit! I bought eVGA, but all I got was a working card - no overnight RMA and no free t-shirt.

I feel so used.

Why exactly would you need an RMA for a working card? 😉

evga is pretty good if you need to send something in.

my roomate sent in his 6800 agp a while back, and they gave him a 6800GT agp for the trouble and it was 3 day air.

Oh yes, I've heard of those free upgrades...very nice. Very very nice.

Also, what was the "trouble"? Dead 6800?

BFG does that alot of times as well. Actually more than ive heard about evga. My friend RMA'd a bfg 6800ultra and got back a bfg 7800gt. 😛

Woot! Thanks for telling me this...Now I can trust both eVGA AND BFG!

Just boxed up my 7800GT for a Step Up this morning. Can anyone confirm that they are offering the 7900GT SC KO cards in place of the standard 7900GT SC cards ? I had read in another thread that this was now being done, but can't find the thread now and this may have just been a one time deal for that poster. Hoping for others that recently got their cards and can confirm this. The KO card offers a much better heatsink than the standard SC card, with the heatsink covering the RAM for cooling purposes.

Just found my lost link right here, top post by Blue Falcon with pics and info on the eVGA 7900GT cards now being shipped.

well it was just that there was some sort of flickering in games.

the trouble was well, that it happened and he had to send his card in an do without WoW for 5 days.

EVGA is the best company I've had a video card come from.

Kinda bugs me that they were having "dinner" with Anandtech though. I'd really like to see companies and hardware review sites stay away from eachother so I know that the information they're feeding me isn't fabricated.

EVGA get's an AVERAGE rating by me. I bought a 7900GT KO from them that went bad after 2 days. I promptly RMAed it to EVGA and my replacement crapped out after 2 days. There is a serious problem/flaw with the 7-series video cards, which EVGA admits, but they still occasionally point fingers at their customers (see http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=31559 ). For a company to get an EXCELLENT rating from me, they have to be consistently good.

Also, all the great customer service in the world doesn't help when the company is selling a defective product. There is no excuse for anyone having to go through multiple RMAs to get a working video card (see http://www.evga.com/community/messageboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15366 ). If EVGA were such a consumer-friendly company, they would increase their QA efforts to weed out these bad cards (people are still reporting the newest cards as having problems, so this hasn't happened yet).
