EVGA Rocks!

a couple of weeks ago, i bought an evga 7800GT/evga nf-41 mb combo from zzf for $359.00 - $20.00 rebate. i was eligible to receive a copy of Q4 so i registered it and after a week and not getting a response, i contacted their customer service and was told they'd take care of it immediately. later that day i get an email saying it went out ups 3 day select. when it arrived, it was not only Q4 but i also got a copy of COD2! 😀 . i was so blown away by this that i "pulled the trigger" and order a second evga 7800GT to go SLI.
great customer service and a kick ass product.
sorry if this is the wrong forum but i was up all night playing Q4 😉

I love it when companies perform such gestures like this. But I am saddened to hear that you lost sleep over Quake 4. Have fun with SLI!

Thats awsome. It's great these companies are realizing that if you treat your customers so well they will keep supporting you. (like you bought another 7800GT)

Thier service does indeed rock! When my 7800 gt died, They overnighted me a new one, on the house with cod2. Great company, outstanding product.

I've been trying for almost two months to get my free copy of COD2. Keep on getting told that it will get immediately shipped out. I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones.

Always a good experience with eVGA. I RMA'ed a 6800GT with no hassles and Stepped Up two GTX'es to GTX KO... Great customer service everytime.

It's awesome to read stories like this...You don't hear about them every day...Glad to hear it all worked out for you...

this is pretty cool. i forwarded this link to "Mario" whom i assumed was in customer service and this was the email i received in response:

Hi Randy,

I read your tread on Anandtech. Thanks. In fact, I had dinner with Anand two weeks ago.

The cool thing about evga, is that you never know who will help. For example, I am the head of Engineering, R&D, and actively help take tech support calls and answer emails when the volume gets high. We have a real team spirit.

As I was reading your thread, I noticed some end user didn't get his Quake 4 game. Is there any way you can give him my email, mario@evga.com, so that I can have my staff send him a his tomorrow.

Thanks again for your compliment.

there ya go capt. caveman...email him 😉

Thanks Randy. Very much appreciated!

eVGA might only be second to OCZ..

😀

OCZ is an example of how a company can rectify their image. When I first started with the enthusiast scene, OCZ was a horrible company. There were even pictures of their "lab" floating around, which consisted of a cluttered backroom of some whitebox company. I leave the scene for a couple of years, come back, and OCZ is this great company lol.

Back on topic, I'm looking to sell my GTO2 and getting a 6800GS. This thread has made me decide to go with eVGA, we don't ever think abou the service until something breaks.

I would concur with everything everyone has said about eVGA - top customer service.

I'd also suggest steering clear of Asus - my current graphics card is from them and their technical support just don't get back to your e-mails whatsoever. Think I'm gonna RMA it and return to eVGA...

That's the kind of company that will get my business too. Support does go a long way when you have a product. The quality seems to be pretty decent too, but there's bound to be a certain percentage of defects from manufacturing or what not for any product. It's good to see that they actually honor their warranty and go the extra mile.

 to eVGA!
