Hey Newegg has some discount on some EVGA PSUs(20% off until the 17th).

My new rig will be
i7 6700k
Z170 deluxe
2 Samsung ssd, 1 3tb storage drive, blue ray burner
Evga GTX 760(May get a 970 at the end of the year)
May get a nvme ssd later
Even if i were to say go crazy and get a 980ti the 750 is enough for me(if i calculated right)
My question is with the discount the difference between the 2 is only $16. Does it make sense to get the 850 over the 750? I was thinking about getting the g2 850(20 rebate no discount code) The p2 are platinum rated the g2 is gold rated(g2 also has the overheat protection but i live in philly so i don't think that would matter to me.)

The 850W model is more likely be compatible (and will stay quieter) with SLI setups, although both will easily handle 970 SLI or similar.

On the other hand, if all you'll ever use is one card, even a 980 Ti, you'll be absolutely fine with a 650W power supply. EVGA 650W P2 $76 AR AP, $24 cheaper than the 750W model.

Why the Z170 deluxe board? That seems like an awfully overkill board just for a single GTX 970. I would much rather get a cheaper yet extremely feature rich board like Z170 Pro Gaming.

I like the way it looked. I brought a Corsair 780t white and figured it would look nice. I always tell myself one day i will do sli but i never have and probably never will. Since I have my current rig on ebay it cuts the cost down but yeah in future build i think im going to rethink the mobo i get.

Asus Z170-A looks almost the same for half the price.

Z170-A, $165:

Z170-Deluxe, $320:

Then you also have MSI Z170A Krait Gaming, $150:
