This unit has been out for a while, but to my knowledge this is the first review of it. And after reading the review, I understand why EVGA decided to send out G6 samples and not the P6.

Newegg, Amazon, and EVGA has had some really aggressive pricing on these units lately (I almost pulled the trigger the other day), but I'm glad I held off.

It's hard to believe that the G6 (gold) has better overall performance, and is quieter than the P6 (platinum). :oops:

Yeah. It doesn't make sense, right? A more efficient PSU would produce less heat and therefore require less active cooling.....

Yet somehow the P6 is..... louder?
