It should be better than the GTS 450, and possibly better than the GTX 550 but I'm not so sure on that one. $100 is not too bad.

I almost bit until I notiecd the SE. 460 SE 1 gb is 5-10% slower than 460 768mb due to fewer number of shader units (288 vs 336) and lower core/mem speed (even though it has 256-bit memory bus).

The Gigabyte version overclocks nice, though it has fairly nice cooler with two fans.

TPU had very good overclocking results as well with a Gainward GTX 460 SE with a single fan.

I have one of these in a system that is a superclocked and it still OC's quite a bit over that w/o issue. It does outperform it's partner Asus GTX460 768GB in the same system and runs cooler.

Are you comparing the overclocked 460 SE to a stock-clocked or over-clocked 460 768?
