eVGA making a case to be the best Company in Graphics Cards

So I read an AT post that someone had gotten the eVGA 7800GT w. SLI mobo combo and recieved Quake 4 for free. I wanted a backup mobo to my 939Dual SATA so when AM2 comes out I can put my X2 and 2gig DDR in another machine. I used eVGA 6800NU since october 2004 and its been a very good card and their warranty is damned spectacular.

Well, I said what the hell I am gonna get that combo. I put NV Silencers on my cards and the warranty even covers a card with that module. Win Win and Quake 4 to boot.

What I didn't do before purchasing the combo from Monarch is to see if the Quake 4 promo was still on. In fact, it had been off nearly a month. Monarch wouldn't cancel the shipment and restocking fees would have been a pain. Oh well, I wanted the card anyway... not getting Quake 4 wouldn't be the end of the world.

I did register my card, got on the forums and talk to Customer Support and had some polite conversations over email. Well, in the end I was a month too late and their limited supply had been used up.

Well, I just recieved Quake 4 in the mail a week later and it seems that eVGA is definately in the business of keeping happy customers. I never registered into the promo the way it was setup for Quake 4. Someone pushed me into the system for it... and I am very happy with eVGA!

Yea, after reading numerous stories like this, I no longer contemplate whether to go with BFG or EVGA. My first NVidia card will definitely be an EVGA.

One thing I've never understood with graphics card companies is why they are more consumer friendly live EVGA. With videocards, often times people will stick with a brand they know and like. All it takes is the extra effort to make a customer a lifetime buyer. Sadly, most companies just don't get it.

Yes BFG is a great brand. They have made great strides and in another life... I'd go with them. I couldn't get the 6800NU from them when I was ordering it and eVGA won the dice roll. I rolled lucky 7 and they would have to snake eyes me for me to step away. If I did... I would definately go with ATI tech 'or' BFG.

Maybe... but XFX still is crap quality. The difference between them and Volari is they chose to go with Nvidia. But they are still PINE and their quality is going up but isn't on par with the big dogs. However, they have sold enough walmart MX4000's to stay in biz forever and a day.

Ever had to RMA a Leadtek card?

Takes forever and their "RMA Department" is a single person who can barely speak English.

I love my eVGA 7800GT. Very often eVGA has the cheapest prices (besides crap brands like MSI) as well. Makes me feel really good about my purchase considering their excellent warranty and support.

I purchased my first Evga card (6800GS Superclocked) last week and it rocks! Wow, you can't beat the quality/warranty/and most importantly......the price! I'm going with Evga cards from here on out if they keep up what they're doing.
