I'm just telling you my story. Don't get pissy cause you have problems.
I am not pissy at all. what you are claiming as a fix makes NO sense though since I left that default like nearly everyone else and we all get the 1fps. you must of changed something else in the game or control panel because that has nothing to do with the 1fps issue in Deus Ex. Nvidia has already confirmed it is a driver issue with the game and may made no mention of pre rendered frame settings.

changed nothing else. Dunno...lots of people have different things going on over at the nvidia forums. The only sure fire way to get rid of it for everyone is to not use 304.48. I guess it's hit or miss otherwise.

You ever try turning off triple buffering in the game's setup options?

if you are talking about the 1fps issue when starting the game then just hit alt enter for windowed mode until you load the game and then go back to full screen. I think it goes back to 1fps if you go to menu again or another cut scene though. lol, aint pc gaming great?

btw my gtx670 is on its way back to newegg...

yeah the 1fps issue, I resolved it by removing the 3D drivers, and playing with settings, Now im constantly hitting the vsync max (60)

So it can be done without reverting to the WHQL drivers

I don't have the 3D drivers installed so it had to be some other setting.

Well here's what I did.

-Uninstalled 3D Drivers and Software.
-In steam instead of launching game I clicked setup, disabled everything and set to default.
-Chose the Deus Ex profile in Nvidia Control settings, pointed it to the steam DEHR exe

After that I loaded the game and was greeted to the opening movies running at 300fps. Once at the main menu changed all my settings there and started playing. No issues. I did turn on vsync as I hear that has issues with it being off in this game.
