eVGA + DVI

I've heard rumours that eVGA cards have the DVI output resolution limited to 1600x1200?

The thing is that I'll be needing 1920x1200 for my new monitor and I'm deciding which video card to get.

Does anyone have an eVGA card and can confirm/deny this rumour please?

Here is the description of a low level eVGA with DVI out. It lists 2048 x 1536 @ 60 Hz as the max resolution. It doesn't list 2 separate resolutons, so I'm guessing it's for both DVI and VGA.

I can tell you that I've run the UEE @ 2048x1536 @ 75Hz on a P1130 21" CRT without an issue using both the DVI and VGA connectors (running separate machines on the monitor and utilizing the dual input).

if you look at the specs, it says:

Resolution & Refresh

* 240 Hz Max Refresh Rate
* 2048 x 1536 x 32bit x 85 Hz Max Analog
* 1600 x 1200 Max Digital

The 1600x1200 Max digital is what's interesting.. and this is on a card that has dual DVI!

i have that card and the max res shown in the control panel is 2048x1536

My evga 6800GT does 2048x1536 on dvi and vga just fine.

Isn't 2048x1536 above the spec for DVI-D? If it's outputting that high of a resolustion I'm guessing it is a DVI-I port, meaning it is using the analog part of the DVI-I connection.
