It nice to see the prices of the 640mb GTS coming down. I'm still going to hold out until they reach the 299 mark.

The PNY video card comes in at $329AR + SH, but I think the BFG is worth the extra $10. I haven't heard the best things about PNY's warranty or customer service. I can't speak from first-hand experience though.

Sorry to threadcrap, but I am refusing to buy EVGA. GREAT product and warranty, but they are acting like babies about the XFX product graphics. I mean give me a break, what's wrong with a little creativity in competition.

A company acting like babies because of XFX? Explain!

According to AT, the XFX card at stock runs at 51 idle, 74 load. The evga would probably be pretty similar.

74 load???

wow - I guess I might still have some head way on the oc temp of my card - I have it clocked up to 600/950 and it still doesn't come close to 70c (more like 66c full load testing with ATI tool) but then again I have that funky OEM card thats got its serial number hand written on the PCB

How loud are these 8800s?
I'd put it into a Sonata II if it'll fit. But, I don't want to have to put the case into a closet to alleviate the noise.
