EVGA 7800GT $50 cardpool rebate promo! Starts 10/1

Found this last night. Just started. Im not even sure exactly why they are doing a rebate this way but anyways. I dont plan on buying a 7800gt this month, but you never know. Thought id point it out for peeps thinking of buying one this month. Might save $50 for ya. Must be purchased between 10/1 and 10/31.

FYI: You have to register your card. Also have to buy 2 cards, or get someone to CARDPOOL with you, or CARDPOOL with someone else to get the rebates.


EDIT: Just an idea I had, dont know if its possible. But like, ZZF has the evga 7800GT for $369 with a $30 rebate that expires 10/9. Double dipping? Get the $30 rebate, then get the $50 as well? The promo rebate only requires a serial # and fax of invoice/reciept. Thats hot if so.....

different types of rebates every month, but this time is the weirdest kind of rebate. So basically they are trying to sell 2 items at once. Last month free eVGA motherboard with 7800GT or GTX purchase, this time pushing 2 video cards
 
Don't forget cardpooling.

I swear that's a great rebate idea there for recent upgraders to the card
 
Thats what I was thinking. Newegg, monarch and ZZF all have rebates so.. If they work on top of the $50 rebate...that would be pretty nice.
 
ZZF's price on the eVGA 7800gt is $369 - $30 rebate = $339 with free 2nd day - Cardpool = $314 + eVGA bucks. Pretty damn good. Sure you want to wait? 🙂
 
Its not that I want to wait. Im in SO-CAL. So I get charged tax at newegg and ZZF. Stupid monarchs rebate ended 10/1. Of course I didnt see the cardpool thing till last night at 1am(10/2) I really dont want to pay $30 of tax.....
 
Does anyone think this is a pre-emptive strike against R520?

Also, I just saw on eVGA's Web site that eVGA bucks can't be used for the Step-up program. That seems silly. What else would I use the $25 for if not for the Step-up program?
 
Definately sa pre-emptive strike against R520. ATi might get bitten by releasing their cards so late and nVidia cards dropping so much already.

Hmm... what the hell can eVGA bucks be used for then? They aren't clear on what your eVGA bucks are for.
 
Seems like a good deal, but if you have until 10/31 to do this, can we expect the 7800's to drop below $300 by the end of the month (Seeing as the R520 SHOULD be out this month)? I'd like to go in on this deal with someone but If i buy it for $315 and 2 weeks later the card drops to $305 shipped, ima be pissed 😛

I hear you but I doubt I can wait another month. I sold my AGP card and am running a Matrox Millennium II. LOL. I'm probably going to order a GT once I see what the R520 can do. Who knows though. The R520 release might convince me to stick with my 2D card for a month.

I hear that. The time frame for that is just right too on the rebates.
 
There is any way you can unlock GT to GTX? And how many times you can cardpool with some one?

Is there is a limit of 2 / $50 or it will mutilply if you keep adding more persons in like 5 / 150

I would think it would be limited to 1 per person.

I am pretty sure that the GT cannot be unlocked or flashed to get GTX level shaders or pipelines as they were laser cut.

 
I ordered one tonight, so you don't need to FIND someone yourself, you can just join up with someone on their list online??
 
just ordered mine...hope it makes me happy for years to come...current card is a 9600XT so an upgrade is needed..umm..how do i get COD2?
