...that's the only reason why I have not ordered yet...got a used 7800gt card for the same price.

 
Just doesn't seem to make sense to me that why just eVGA is doing the price drop...Why not other brands eg. BFG, XFX, etc...Considered eVGA is one of the top video card mfg today. Or the others may have to follow suite very soon or they may end up with huge surplus inventories. Someone please, enlighten me on this...
 
Really? Has this always been the case since SLI's inception? I could have sworn that when SLI came out the cards had to be from the same manufacturer, same revision, same everything.

What you stated used to be true but no more. Now just match the cards, any brand will work.
