Just about all reviews I've seen so far with 680i motherboards of any make and Kentsfield processors, the motherboard was not able to obtain higher than 350MHz stable FSB.
It seems Nvidia/EVGA have done it again! Check this. Link
This is great news for SLI owners that want to OC their Quad Cores.

That's great news. According to a guy with the new board, the revision to look for is: PCB 180-7R093-0000-D00

Yes, that's what sets it apart from the old revision board.
New board: PCB 180-7R093-0000-D00
Old board: PCB 180-7R093-0000-C00
Also, 6 MOSFET Vreg's were removed (so they say, I don't know where to look and I only have a picture to look at until my new board arrives).
LPC connector is missing on the new board.

Damn, I just bought the EVGA 680i AR version from Newegg and it is the C00 version. I also got a qx6700 so I might as well get the new version. Here's my question, do I put in to rma this board and hold off on building the new computer or talk to newegg and see about switching it back to them for something like the asus striker or something. This really bothers me.

Thoughts?

amaunator, EVGA sais you need to register the board on their website, then request a RMA. Check here, the OP explains the process.
If you're from the US, cross-shipping is available. Europe and Canada have to wait 2-6 weeks for a RMA board, so it's kind of out of the question.

1. Are people here getting the rma for the new board even if they don't have a quad core cpu?

2. If you already got your new board from EVGA has everyone been getting a full retail box with all the accessories or just the motherboard?

ive done the rma process and it was actually really easy...i got the new board even thought i dont have a quad core YET....they said to just do it if you are going to get a quad core processor...you second question is no all mine came with was just the mobo and a free game...lol...you just use all your own same accessories

Did you have any problems with the old board, or did you just want to get this swap out of the way now.

tylerw13, Have you exchanged the board and have the new revision up and running; if so do you think the new board is superior to the old one? Do you think eVGA addressed other issues as well?

i would say it is superior to the old one...it feels alot more stable while overclocking everything from my cpu to my ram....i really feel evga did a good job on everything...no just the board but their customer support and everything...ive been really impressed with the company and how they take care of their customers and products

oh ya and the problems that ppl were having with their non usb keyboards i have heard are fixed as well

I just received the A1 model from NewEgg and have had no luck with my Q6600. :( I was able to boot into windows at 1600FSB but anything below, down to 1350 or so wouldn't boot and I would have to Clear my CMOS manually. EVGA is sending me another board but I'm not to optimistic. I'm running the same CPU/Memory on an ASUS P5W64 WS Professional at 3.5GHz with 1.4 actual VCore.
